Lishan Agonafer is a journalist by profession. At the onset of her career, she worked for Ethiopian state-owned media as a news editor and radio producer, and spent most of her latter years working in faith-based media. Namely, Lishan worked as an editor for Evangelical Christian magazines in Ethiopia, and as a producer for radio talk shows such as Hiyaw Tesfa (Living Hope), both of which were risky lines of work during the communist Dergue regime. Lishan also helped to edit and transcribe the Amharic New Testament for Living Bible International, and self-published her first Amharic book “Tibebu: The Shepherd in the Wilderness” in 2013, to tell the story of her beloved late husband, Dr. Tibebu Haileselassie, and the life they shared together. Lishan currently lives in Colorado with her three daughters and their families, including four grandsons. She enjoys writing about the wonderful works of God that she and others have experienced in life.
